Surf sunset

Well, this started off as me trying to make a surf picture with fall colors to match all the house decorations.. It ended up turning into what i call the primary color sunset. Best shack ive drawn and the palm trees came out great. Wave shading was tough because of the colors i chose. Decided at the last minute to throw a guy in the tube.. Just a silhouette

Dream wave

Catch the stoke. Had a blast doin this piece. Started with the light blue and then went light then came back around to do the dark of the wave. Then i did the sky followed by the sand and plants last. I think from now on i will be painting in sections like that instead of all blue, all green, all red.... Because you forget what you are going for if you leave to paint another section

Lip shack

My wife n baby took off for the day so i wanted to pump another surf piece out. Got too nervous to do detailed sea animals which i will be experimenting with soon. For some reason, i cant blend as well as drew brophy and my waves look very layered. Still look cool, but i want them to look more blended in the future. Im a pro at those cool little flowers now and tried a new sun out which looks way cool and does something totally different to the scene

Endless wave surf shack

I used posca pens but the new trick i tried was using "gesso" to base the canvas before i began painting. It let the paint stay wet longer for better blending and i will never again paint a canvas without it. I had to order some thick pens to paint this huge canvas(2ft) but it was really fun and i hope to try to get more detail in my next big piece and see what happens!
