Jellyfish sunset

I finished this piece a while ago, but due to my new baby, new home and new job, I have been busy! My next step is to figure out how to begin selling my art online, either on this blog or a link to etsy or other. I have had numerous artist share that I should begin selling so that is what I shall do! Wish me luck and please keep up with all of my new art work!

Jellies and sunset

Working on my biggest piece yet and stoked. I was inspired at the surf art expo in va beach and pulled out my canvas i had been saving for a rainy day. Here it is after putting all the color on. Have a few hours of detailing and lines still before i can call it a masterpiece

Gemmas good friday sleeve

Nuckle dan and i were asked by gemma to tattoo her legs and not allowed to stop.

Mural painting

For the past year, there has been an outline of a potential mural on this wall of my friend's youth group room. The artist made a quick paint through but it ended up looking ...half done. Jp2 looked like a cancer patient, Mary looked like well... Not sure and the background was tragic. He asked me to come add some life to it.

I added color to jp2 and gave some good shading, gave Mary a nose job and a chin and most of all, we through up a great background to make the painting pop. For only a few hours of work, it came out great. My goal was not to redue the mural, just help what was there come to life.

Graffiti wall

The youth group wanted a cool tag on the wall for their ctkyg youth house. One of the teens and myself put this together

Board and wave

Inspired by one of brorad's paintings with a girl in the center. I thought it would look great to put a surfboard in the middle with some flowers.

Gemmas baby tattoo

Gemma wanted her baby colored after she colored mommys belly. Haha. She was very excited to pick out the colors.

Bullseye cup

A friends asked if i could paint a picture of a WWII image on a coffee mug. I traced the cup and blew it up and painted it with spit shading. I am happy with the way it turned out and so is he.

Flowers and waves

Well. I want to sell my paintings at the stockely art festival in may and realized i better get moving. I wanted to offer a more artistic, colorful and simple piece. So i drew a hibiscus and a psychedelic plant and a cool wave to connect them. I love the colors. Some recommendations were to do a different season for each and make 4 different ones. The pictures sync up almost too well. We decided it may be cool to put them together backwards

Another day

Just another day at the beach. You car, your board choices and your babe. Im starting to realize that i dont like putting people in my pictures. It makes it look like a cartoon. One of my friends said they like the ones without people because it is easier to enter in to the scene.. He said "back off, thats my wave"!

Va beach summer

Wanted to make a scene of the boardwalk in the summertime. I realized half way through that i wasnt going to be able to fit enough detail in the picture. The tourists in the sand and getting burnt. The sandcastles and girls on the beach. The weirdos on the boardwalk an shark out lurking.. I may do this again on a bigger canvas

Drew style

Went for an all out drew brophy style piece to see how my skills have grown. Im very impressed with my shading skills these days.

Family wave

This is a dream i have that i want to do with my family. Take a lifeguard board out and watch the sunset. And when your in va beach, that is a very achievable goal! Found a pic of a family on a board on pinterest and traced it and threw in my own background. The guy came out a lil pudgy and the faces are a bit off. But the concept is awesome. I may do a silhouette one later

Lip break

Found a cool picture of a wave breaking at sunset and wanted to capture it with poscas. Came out okay, its a more realistic take than what im used to

Sunrise session

All i could think of was blacks beach in san diego, early morning checkin the surf.

Pray for surf

Out here in virginia beach, there are no waves. The phrase of all my surf friends is... Pray for a hurricane! I say ill just "pray for surf".
